Next Test Kitchen

Happy New Year! Make a resolution to come to the next test kitchen! (I'd make a great infomercial announcer.)

January 18th, at 7pm at Lezlie Zolinger's home, we will be watching a demonstration on one-hour bread. The foods to be brought are soups and stews. We really need to start on time, so please be there a little before 7 or you'll miss something!

As always, if you don't have an actual item to contribute, we would love to have you all the same! Come to watch the demonstration, share in the eating ('cause we always have too much), and pick up some cool ideas. If you have any questions or need directions to Lezlie's home you can email me.

December's Test Kitchen

This month's test kitchen is coming up next Tuesday (December 14th). It will be a cookie exchange. The rules for this exchange are to only take as many cookies as you bring--i.e. if you bring 4 dozen, take home 4 dozen. If you bring 1 dozen, take home 1 dozen.

Make any cookie you like, and if you want to come and learn but have no idea how to make a cookie (hey, that's what a test kitchen is for, right?) then go buy some of your favorite from a store, put them on a plate, and show up to learn to make some others!

7:00 at Lezlie Zollinger's. Email if you need directions.

Next Test Kitchen

A heads up to everyone interested. The next test kitchen will be at Lezlie Zollinger's home on November 16th. We are focusing on turkey and stuffing. If you have an unusual stuffing--or just a no-fail, finger-lickin', Grandmum's-cookin' stuffing--we'd love to have you share it! Some people have volunteered to bring turkeys cooked by different methods, so I think we're covered in that area, unless someone in charge says otherwise (I'm just a courier).

I think all those who came last time can testify to the amount of food there, so if you're planning on eating beforehand, make it a light meal.

Am I leaving anything out?
