Fresh Basil Pesto

Ingredients:
2 oz. fresh washed basil (about 1 1/2 c.)
1/4 c. grated Parmesan
3 T. olive oil
3 T. pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1. Pick basil leaves off stem and discard stem. Add all ingredients to food processor, blender, or mortar and pestle and process until you have a smooth, bright green paste. Spread on bread, toss with warm pasta, or use to top fish and meat.
